This week we will be reading Big Bushy Mustache by Gary Soto. We will be discussing making predictions before, during, and after reading. If you click on the title, you can visit Ms. Smith's website and listen to the story. She also has several links in which you can practice the skills we will be working on throughout the week. As always, here are a few reminders to mark on your calendar this week.
Monday- Welcome Back! We will be heading to the library to view our Grassroots Bookfair. Students will make a wishlist and bring it home. Parents and students can shop before and after school.
Tuesday- Both classes will participate in the Child Assault Program. We will be learning about what to do if you encounter a stranger.
Wednesday- Y. Miller's afternoon class will take their reading MAPS test from 1-2:30 p.m. Students will be dismissed from the computer lab at 2:45 p.m.
Thursday- Y. Miller's afternoon class will take their math MAPS test from 1-2:30 p.m.
Friday- Homework and Reading Logs are due. Grassroots Bookfair ends today.
Well I hope everybody had a restful Thanksgiving break. I'll see everybody on Monday.
